Opening your files

Every pack comes two ways: an interactive version that marks itself, and a printable PDF. The interactive one is a file you open in a web browser, not an app to install. Here is the whole thing in 35 seconds.

On a Windows computer

  1. In your order email, tap Download the interactive file. It saves to your Downloads folder.
  2. Open your Downloads folder and find the file ending .html.
  3. Right-click it, choose Open with, then choose Chrome or Edge.
  4. It opens like a website. Pick a test and press Start. It works offline from then on.

On other devices

Mac

Find the file in Downloads, hold Control and click it, then choose Open With and pick Safari or Chrome.

iPad or iPhone

Tap the link in the email. When it asks, choose Download. Open the Files app, go to Downloads, and tap the file. It opens in Safari.

Android tablet or phone

Tap the link, then open Downloads from your notification bar or the Files app, and tap the file. Choose Chrome if it asks which app to use.

Prefer paper?

Use the PDF instead. It opens anywhere and prints on any printer. Both versions are included with every pack, and they hold the same questions.

If something is not right

It opened in Notepad and looks like code

That is the usual one, and nothing is broken. Windows opened it in a text editor. Go back to the file, right-click it, choose Open with, and pick Chrome or Edge. Tick "always use this app" if you would like it to remember.

The download link will not open

Links last 90 days from the day you bought. If yours has expired, or the file will not download, reply to your order email and we will send fresh links the same day.

Gmail will not let me download the file

Some email apps are cautious about files ending in .html. Your email contains links rather than attachments for exactly that reason, so tap the button in the email rather than looking for an attachment.

What is the passcode for?

Each copy is personalised to you, and the passcode unlocks your copy. It is in your order email. Keep it somewhere safe, and please do not share the files, because every copy carries the buyer's name inside it.

I have lost the email

Check your spam folder first. If it is not there, email us from the address you bought with and we will resend it.

Still stuck?

Reply to your order email, or write to hello@grammarpath.co.uk. Tell us which pack you bought and what you are seeing, and we will sort it out.
