A cyclist travels 18 km in 45 minutes. A runner travels 9 km in 1 hour. Both keep the same speed. How much further, in kilometres (km), does the cyclist travel than the runner in 2 hours?
That is 3 of the 324 questions. Every one of the rest is marked the same way, with the worked solution and the mistake behind each wrong answer.

Is this right for your child?
Buy it if
- You want a full dress rehearsal, all four sections in one sitting
- Your child has done topic practice and needs to handle the clock
- You want a score with the age adjustment shown, and a breakdown of where the marks went
Skip it if
- They are still learning the topics, a mock measures, it does not teach
- You want untimed practice one question at a time, which the topic packs do better

Half a minute, start to finish, sitting it, and the results screen at the end.
Every screen in this video is the real exam engine, nothing staged or mocked up.
This is what every wrong answer gets
Three real questions from the paper, with the explanation exactly as it appears in the mark scheme, one Bronze, one Silver, one Gold.
A school trip to Cadbury World costs £14 for each pupil, plus £162 for the coach. 27 pupils go on the trip. What is the total cost, in pounds (£)?
Forgetting the fixed coach cost and giving only the per-pupil total. Underline the fixed cost before you start. It is added once, not per pupil.

FAQs
What is in the set?
The four mock papers, each one exactly as it is sold on its own: Mock Paper 1, Mock Paper 2, Mock Paper 3, Mock Paper 4. One file opens all four, and each paper keeps its own progress and its own results.
Who writes these papers?
We do. They are our own papers, written in the GL format the West Midlands grammar schools use. They are not produced by, endorsed by or affiliated with GL Assessment or the King Edward VI Foundation.
What does the score mean?
Each paper is marked and the score is adjusted for your child's age, with the adjustment shown. It is a transparent method of our own and is marked provisional; it does not reproduce GL's own tables, and it cannot predict or guarantee an offer. The school comparison is indicative only.
Do I need to install anything?
No. It's a link that opens in the browser on a laptop, tablet or school Chromebook. The PDF is a normal download.
How long do I have access?
Permanently. It's a one-off purchase, not a subscription, and the PDF is yours to keep and reprint.
